Disclaimer: I am not a religious bigot and this post should be taken as just a curiosity.
I am baffled by seeing the theft of Hindu identity by people of another religion. At an ideological level they claim superiority by proclaiming to not follow idolatry and polytheism. For such individuals Hinduism is an archaic religion full of mumbo jumbo.
But that doesn't stop people from the same faith adopting Hindu customs like putting sindooram(Vermillon) on their forehead, adopting Hindu first names, placing traditional Hindu vilakku with some minor modifications in their homes and places of worship, performing traditional Hindu dance forms with minor modifications etc.
Can someone please explain why this fetish with adopting Hindus customs??

Kochi one dayer between Australia and India cancelled
First one dayer between India and Australia was cancelled today due to heavy rains hammering the city on saturday. This resulted in lost opportunity for kochi spectators to witness the best display of cricketing talent.
The culprit it seems was the infrastructure at the stadium. With BCCI being the richest cricket board i wonder if they could have earmarked some budget for super sucker machines to dry the ground as soon as the rain stops.
